Paratriathletes Compete in Budapest
Nine paratriathletes recently competed in Budapest at the ETU Duathlon European Championships in the Hungarian capital. Eight men and one woman from five countries ( Hungary , France , Austria , Italy , Germany ) competed across seven categories.

New Triathlon South Africa President
Debbie Alexander has been elected as the new President of Triathlon South Africa , taking over from now Vice President, Gideon Sam who moves to Presidency of the South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee.

New Leaders for Chinese Taipei
ITU welcomes Mr. Super Hsieh, the newly elected President of the Chinese Taipai Triathlon federation and Mr. Liu,Yuh-Fong, the newly elected Secretary General. They are both enthusiastic triathletes and joined the NF at the same time in 2007.

ITU Sport Development in Egypt
This three day visit included inspection of the local training sites and race venues, presentations to administrators, coaches and athletes. The highlight of the trip was a formal visit to the Executive Director of the National Sports Council and Deputy Minister of Sport in Egypt , Mr. Medhat El-Beltagy.

Perth Ready to Welcome the World
Official entries for the 2009 ITU Long Distance Triathlon World Championships will be taken online from July 1 on the event website. All elite, age group and paratriathlete competitors who have qualified for the Long Distance Triathlon must be registered via this system by their relevant national federation.

Anti-doping: Athlete Survey Results
Recently, ITU elite athletes had an opportunity to take part in an Anti-doping Survey. This survey will serve to shape ITU's Anti-doping programme for the next few years. Over the next few weeks, we will be sharing with you the responses to the survey. There were 132 responses.
